Local biker and picture radar

In todays paper there is a story about one of our local small towns installing picture radar out on the highway. It was also noted that warning tickets would be issued for the first month. Well, this local kid on a Honda decides to make a run at it and see what happens. He ends up getting clocked at 101 mph above the 55 mph speed limit. The only problem was he did not notice the Police Officer sitting there clocking on hand held radar both coming and going.

The paper showed one of those pictures with the horizontal lines on the wall behind him and he don't look none too happy. At least the cop did not give chase, he just went by his house Sunday with a warrant for his arrest. Seems like the kid had a bit of a reputation on his Honda.

Sounds like the old diversion trick. Dummy cop sittin in a car, block away the real one. Kid fell for it hook, line and sinker. Maybe he'll live longer now. Well, at least as long as his jail time! The paper didn't lie, though. It was picture radar, just not on the street!

PS---Randy, you got that extra gear out yet?!?!?!? I still haven't found the 1/8" radius gauge, and I'm thinkin about using my drill press and adjustable angle drill press vice to try this. WIll duplicate angle almost exactly. Whadya think? Internal parts comin this weekend, gettin itchy to start puttin her back together. DOn't know if I wanna take the time to cut the gears, maybe try to make you feel bad and just swap me out!!!!

I will see what I can do about tearing it down tomorrow. I have been putting off tearing it apart to see how it looks after 60,000 miles anyway.
