VentureYZ Posted July 11, 2015 Posted July 11, 2015 Looking for the eye to eye centerline length for the rear shock on an 87 standard. My shock has the internal spring with air. Just bought a progressive and wanting to compare lengths. Going to change it this winter. Mike
Vonwolf Posted September 9, 2015 Posted September 9, 2015 I've been trying to find the same measurement myself I have one that I think is off an old standard Venture (83?)with the internal spring. It measures about 11 1/2" center bolt hole to center bolt hole off the bike. I'd like to know the compressed length if anyone knows, A little late I know, but I just found this post, I hope it helps
cimmer Posted September 10, 2015 Posted September 10, 2015 I have a shock for the VR MKII with the progressive spring installed but not on the bike that I can measure up for you if you like. I plan on installing it later this fall as time permits. Rick F.
VentureYZ Posted September 10, 2015 Author Posted September 10, 2015 I did check the progressive last night. It is actually 11 1/2 inches eye to eye. So they are the same. Was just wanting to make sure. Thanks.
