Gen 1 mkII rear shock info

Looking for the eye to eye centerline length for the rear shock on an 87 standard. My shock has the internal spring with air. Just bought a progressive and wanting to compare lengths. Going to change it this winter. Mike

I've been trying to find the same measurement myself I have one that I think is off an old standard Venture (83?)with the internal spring. It measures about 11 1/2" center bolt hole to center bolt hole off the bike. I'd like to know the compressed length if anyone knows, A little late I know, but I just found this post, I hope it helps

I have a shock for the VR MKII with the progressive spring installed but not on the bike that I can measure up for you if you like. I plan on installing it later this fall as time permits.

I did check the progressive last night. It is actually 11 1/2 inches eye to eye. So they are the same. Was just wanting to make sure. Thanks.
