Looks like some kind of "road hazard" type damage.

I've seen a tire tear/chunk like that before when a buddy of mine tried to show off and did a standing burnout. Got a chunk of metal scrap caught under the tire and tore it right up.....

not all the way around but almost. When i checked the pressure it was at 40psi. The bike is lowered but the damage is at the same locations on most of the tread.

To me it looks as if the tire made contact with the underside of the fender and there is something protruding the underside of the fender like a bolt. Just an opinion.....

Could be a bolt or tab handing down and upon compression hit the tire. I would check and see if any markings/damage in bottom of treads. See if the tread blocks appear to be chunking and coming apart. Definitely look up in wheel compartment and see/feel around for something protruding. Ride it for awhile and keep close eye on it. Say mark side of tire and photo it. Then in a week go to same spot and photo again to see if any worse. Keep tabs on it and see what you think from there.

Had same thing happen to me when I bought my bike. Dunlop 404 that was brand new but had a cut line right in the middle and all around. Bike had been lowered and I thought it had rubbed. Turns out after talking with the PO that he had run it with only 15psi for a few day's before I picked it up. Outcome was that i could not trust the tire anymore and I replaced it. For me it was peace of mind!

Well i dropped the tire last night. There are a couple of spots where the tire could have made contact to get this kind of damage but to do so it would have to hit other areas and i don't see any indication of tire contacting the fender. I have a new tire on the way and will replace it just for peace of mind. Thanks for the help and hope to see everyone on the road soon.

Here is a pic of a tire I sadly replaed @ 1400 miles. I hit something and it went flat. I was going to patch it from the inside, but once I got home and looked it over and saw it was much long cut than initialy had thought and being it was in such a way I thought acceleration would may be rip at it I replaced it also.
