OutKast Posted July 5, 2015 #1 Posted July 5, 2015 All three of mine the fairings sit awkward one. Two from falling down, and the latest from a right side collision. Anybody got any pointers?
Prairiehammer Posted July 5, 2015 #2 Posted July 5, 2015 I suggest trying to "tweak" the fairing stays back to normal with the same brute force that "tweaked" them in the first place. BFH, long pipe and pipe wrenches should work. Measure from the same spot on each fairing stay to the frame as a reference and make each side match. Alternately, of course is eBay.
Venturous Randy Posted July 6, 2015 #4 Posted July 6, 2015 When my bike got knocked over by a truck while parked, my fairing frame was pushed over so far that the steering was rubbing the grills very bad. To fix it, I ended up taking the fairings off both sides and straightened each side separately. That was a lot easier that trying to bend both frames at the same time. I have an MKI, but I have a MKII headlight and used MKII upper frames. Randy
