Got a lot going on right now, but would like to try to make it over there to see y'all.

I live in SC only about 80 miles from there.

We'll be in Robbinsville for the day visiting family on the 7th.

I think it is Robbinsville that has a real good Mexican restaurant. Franklin used to have a real nice motel where you parked your bike in front of your door and each room had some good chairs. We were really disappointed to find out it has been torn down.

Hope you guys have a great weekend and don't drown.

Sadly, we missed the opportunity to catch up with y'all.

We went through Franklin Tuesday, but our family schedule did not leave us enough time to stop and visit.

Hope your trip is enjoyable and your ride back home is safe.

We stayed at a place just south of Franklin, on Clayton Hwy last year, the Colonial Inn. They let us park our bikes under the overhang next to our doors, and they had nice chairs too. PLEASE tell me that wasn't it. :confused24:

No, it was not the Colonial Inn that was torn down. I believe it was the Franklin Motel and the people running it were real nice. I will have to check on the Colonial the next time I am in that area. There is also a good restaurant above town called the Sunset, I believe.
