DragonRider Posted June 10, 2015 #1 Posted June 10, 2015 Does anyone know where I can find values for trikes, I cant seem to find anyone that does it. When I insure my bikes they always ask me to place a value on it that I want it insured for, they dont seem to use book values. I valued it higher than what I paid for it, but I dont think I could replace it for that, so I am thinking about upping the value. It costs me a few dollars more to do it but I think its worth the extra dollars to do so.
steamer Posted June 10, 2015 #2 Posted June 10, 2015 Never came across anything in writing. Everyone just seems to use book on the bike and original cost on the trike kit. Most trike I've seen for sale are all over priced, not all, but most. So I guess you can put what ever value you want on it.
Hummingbird Posted June 11, 2015 #3 Posted June 11, 2015 I have always used KBB value of the bike and add the TOTAL cost of the kit plus make sure your insurance co. has a rider for accessories
DragonRider Posted June 11, 2015 Author #4 Posted June 11, 2015 Thats exactly what I did and was surprised at the value I came up with, over triple what I paid for it.............and more than double what I currently have it insured for, so upping the value when I renew.
BigLenny Posted June 12, 2015 #6 Posted June 12, 2015 Have you looked at Cycletrader? You could probably get a good estimate of what people are selling their trikes for on that site.
DragonRider Posted June 12, 2015 Author #7 Posted June 12, 2015 Checked that but you dont see many 93 royales triked for sale.
