Skid Posted June 15, 2015 #26 Posted June 15, 2015 It would be nice to get a Venture Trunk and switch out my trunk. Even a First Gen Trunk could be a conversation piece among this group.
Eck Posted June 15, 2015 Author #27 Posted June 15, 2015 Added (4) running lights to the little trunk today. Got them wired in and ran the wire harness to the bike. They work great. Next, install lights in the spoiler. I added a better picture of the licking mechanism with the brass spring lock and the "Z" bracket I made for clairity.
Skid Posted June 15, 2015 #28 Posted June 15, 2015 Great job. I like that. Now you got me interested in upgrading mine.
Flyinfool Posted June 15, 2015 #29 Posted June 15, 2015 OK I gotta ask. Since there is a white section in those lights are you going to wire in backup lights? Or wire in amber turn signal lights? OR?
BigLenny Posted June 15, 2015 #30 Posted June 15, 2015 Still waiting to see heat shields on the front corners to protect it from the exhause heat. Making me nervous. LOL.
Eck Posted June 15, 2015 Author #31 Posted June 15, 2015 OK I gotta ask. Since there is a white section in those lights are you going to wire in backup lights? Or wire in amber turn signal lights? OR? Back up lights...NOT!!!.....I blocked the clear part off with hi-vis aluminum foil. No lighting will show thru the clear area. Only thru the red area of lens. I just finished installing stop lights in the spoiler..I'm done.. Just going to use it as is for a while to see if I really like it and if so, I am going to take it all apart again and match paint it to the wing... [/font] No need for heat shields @BigLenny... I rode over a hundred miles the other day and the trunk didn't even get hot..
