Prairiehammer Posted June 2, 2015 #1 Posted June 2, 2015 I figure with all the wrecking that has been going on these days that I should let everyone know that I made it home safely Monday evening, after spending an excruciatingly long extra day with Don and @Squidley. (I have never been so glad to see that Indiana welcome sign. Good riddens OHIO.
Freebird Posted June 2, 2015 #2 Posted June 2, 2015 I completely know what you mean about that Squidley character. I know that you are glad that I was there as a buffer. You are most welcome.
cowpuc Posted June 2, 2015 #3 Posted June 2, 2015 Ahhh,, that Buckeye state aint so bad,, just gotta make sure your Hurricane insurance is up to date and that you have your rubber farm boots with ya to avoid getting Bull Poop stuck between your toes... Oh yea,, THANKS for checking in Prairie!! It was a pleasure meeting you my friend!!
Marcarl Posted June 2, 2015 #4 Posted June 2, 2015 Thanks for checking in,, good to have met you,,, now I can envision a face when I see the name. Good you made it home alright,, and sorry about Squid,,,, nobody said he was coming or we might have been forewarned. Seems we kept him busy enough though to keep him out of trouble mostly.
The Tooch Posted June 2, 2015 #5 Posted June 2, 2015 Was good to see you again Kevin.......Sorry I forgot the Zed's & U's. We didn't get much of a chance to talk, cause I was to busy playing Army Man's (Remember doing that as a kid?!) with Cowpuc. Glad you made it safe.....................it was last summer that we all worried about you.
Prairiehammer Posted June 2, 2015 Author #6 Posted June 2, 2015 ...good to have met you,,, now I can envision a face when I see the name. Carl, Carl, Carl. We have met before, two years ago. I had the same name and face then, too.
Prairiehammer Posted June 2, 2015 Author #7 Posted June 2, 2015 Was good to see you again Kevin.......Sorry I forgot the Zed's & U's. We didn't get much of a chance to talk, cause I was to busy playing Army Man's (Remember doing that as a kid?!) with Cowpuc. Glad you made it safe.....................it was last summer that we all worried about you. Thanks, Tooch. Yes, I was disappointed that I was not able to have another Canuck language lesson. Sorry to hear of YOUR mishap, but glad to see you can still type.
Marcarl Posted June 2, 2015 #8 Posted June 2, 2015 Carl, Carl, Carl. We have met before, two years ago. I had the same name and face then, too. We DID???? Guess I must be getting younger ,,, they all tell how young I look,,, maybe it's actually happening,,, or maybe it's the Spyder thing, finding it hard to keep up with everybody lately,,,, don't go so slow anymore.
Prairiehammer Posted June 2, 2015 Author #9 Posted June 2, 2015 We DID???? Guess I must be getting younger ,,, they all tell how young I look,,, maybe it's actually happening,,, or maybe it's the Spyder thing, finding it hard to keep up with everybody lately,,,, don't go so slow anymore. And ANOTHER thing... You promised to help me change the springs on my '91. But, you always seemed to be gone when I wanted to get into the Maintenance que. And I'll be damned if I was gonna let that @Squidley guy touch my bike. So, I didn't get the job done. And the @Flyinfool never let me touch his 17mm tool. He said "No Dice, not until the Spyder Canuck Carl Bearded One" was there to protect his investment. I got no respect. None.
Flyinfool Posted June 2, 2015 #10 Posted June 2, 2015 Now how did I get dragged into this???? AGAIN........ But yes I did have another episode of CRS syndrome. With all of the "stuff" I brought this year you are going to fault me for not bringing one tiny little tool. Sheesh....... Are you coming to Orlins MD? I'll pack my BFH, We'll get those old springs out. Who needs a special 17mm tool?
Prairiehammer Posted June 2, 2015 Author #11 Posted June 2, 2015 With all of the "stuff" I brought this year you are going to fault me for not bringing one tiny little tool. Sheesh....... And YET, and yet, with my very limited storage and hauling capabilities, I was able to remember AND BRING your very special deer killing apparatus components. Some on here, of the very recent late, have espoused their gratitude in flowery and "Timothy Leary-esque" ways. But, NO, not the 'Fool. You know, don't you, that I COULD have taken the Sno-Man with me back to Illinoistan, never to be seen again. ( @cowpuc : that Sno-Man was actually the real and powerful Sno-Puper Machine!)
Marcarl Posted June 2, 2015 #12 Posted June 2, 2015 So here I try soooooooooo hard to be myself and then I get blamed for the weather,,,,,, yes the weather!!!!! Got up Saturday,, all rip rarin to get to work, and the first thing that happens when I get to Don's is that I have to go back to the Hotel,,,, then upon returning I am informed that it is lunch time,,, well can't miss lunch now can we,,,, after I made sure that all the folks were equally feed, and none looked gaunt and miss-treated, I dined on the left-overs. With that under me belt it was time to visit with some folks who thought that stealing cameras was not nice,,, I put it back,,,,, and then I had the opportunity to look for a hammer,, when I was so much informed that going home was on the do-now list, because of the weather,,,,, that's where the weather comes in. Tell ya what,,, if you can bear to wait til next year????? I'll for sure set you straight if you've noticed that you have it all wrong!!
93 venture Posted June 2, 2015 #13 Posted June 2, 2015 I brought my socket with but forgot who said they needed one, well if ya want to ride back over to the east about 150 miles i can help ya change out your springs
Prairiehammer Posted June 2, 2015 Author #14 Posted June 2, 2015 I brought my socket with but forgot who said they needed one, well if ya want to ride back over to the east about 150 miles i can help ya change out your springs NOW! You tell me. We rode all the way across Indiana on US6 and passed only 7.5 miles from you, Darrin.
cowpuc Posted June 3, 2015 #15 Posted June 3, 2015 And YET, and yet, with my very limited storage and hauling capabilities, I was able to remember AND BRING your very special deer killing apparatus components. You know, don't you, that I COULD have taken the Sno-Man with me back to Illinoistan, never to be seen again. ( @cowpuc : that Sno-Man was actually the real and powerful Sno-Puper Machine!) I was planning on sharping up some points on those kick stand plates the Fool brought us and have a chinese throwing star contest using Frosty as a target,, now I wish I would have had time to follow thru with the thought!!:duck:
