Guest pavehawkfe Posted March 31, 2008 #1 Posted March 31, 2008 Checkout this video of a car tire on a Triumph Rocket III. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VA7xrZkmKoU]YouTube - Lost It on a Triumph Rocket III[/ame] Not making any point, persuasion, yea, nay, or anything. Just thought it was an interesting video. Gene
Guest HdHtr Posted March 31, 2008 #2 Posted March 31, 2008 I would expect that to be the results. Sorta just rolled up and the edge and folded under! Great for a trike but not a bike.
Freebird Posted March 31, 2008 #4 Posted March 31, 2008 It was the camera falling off. If you go to the YouTube page and read the comments, he explains that. He did NOT go down on the bike.
flb_78 Posted March 31, 2008 #6 Posted March 31, 2008 yep, that was his camera falling off. He has other videos as well that shows him draggin frame in the twisties while running a car tire.
WIKD Posted March 31, 2008 #7 Posted March 31, 2008 Camera off. The text at the bottom even says he lost the camera but you can see his getaway. Then it shows him going back to retrieve the camera.
Stoutman Posted March 31, 2008 #8 Posted March 31, 2008 Now there is a bike that is a good candidate for a car tire. My friend here at work just bought one. He said the old owner replaced his rear tire every 6 thousand miles, at $300 per tire. Incredible torque on that bike. The new touring edition reduced the torque and HP so they could put a narrower tire on the bike for better handling, and not have to worry about spinning out in a turn, or on takeoff.
