rougeray Posted May 31, 2015 #1 Posted May 31, 2015 I bought my 07 RSV new and up until a couple of weeks ago I was not aware the key could be removed while in the ACC position. The owners manual says it cannot. It appears I left it in the ACC position then removed the key with the sound system in AUX and ran the battery down one evening. Can the key be removed in the ACC position and the manual has a misprint or is my switch wearing out? I like being able to remove the key when filling up as I can listen to the tunes. I like being able to remove the key but I'm extra careful about making sure the key is in the off position at the end of a ride. Any thoughts? Thanks
Eck Posted May 31, 2015 #2 Posted May 31, 2015 I would go ahead and perform the ignition switch "by-pass" mod now before being left on the road some place you might not want to be... http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?75398-By-passing-the-Ignition-switch
djh3 Posted June 1, 2015 #3 Posted June 1, 2015 Here is the easy way. Plug and play. I can also make a Keyless version if thats how you want to go.

djh3 Posted June 1, 2015 #5 Posted June 1, 2015 The key being able to be removed, to me sounds more like a tumbler problem (lock portion) than the electrical part of the switch.
