ragtop69gs Posted May 28, 2015 #1 Posted May 28, 2015 I just got back from my first ride on a 130 front tire and I must say I am impressed ! Amazing what a difference it makes, feels like a different bike, low speed turns a much better as are sweepers and twisties. I'm a convert, don't think I'll be going back to the stock size. Hmmm, now it's got me real curious about trying the darkside
SilvrT Posted May 28, 2015 #2 Posted May 28, 2015 Never tried the darkside on my Venture although I did go with a 130 front as well as the leveling links. Huge improvement but still wasn't enough for me. Went dark on my Wing and now darkside on my Vic. Will never go back to a MT on the rear. Only downside of a CT is it wants to ride off the high spots on the road so you get a bit of a swish-sway feeling but it's minimal and you get used to it. The pluses far outweigh that IMO.
RobRiguez Posted May 28, 2015 #3 Posted May 28, 2015 I'm still dealing with the bank (wifey) to try to finalize this deal I'm working on. What is the stock size and what are the differences??

Stock front is 150/80-16 makes low speed turning heavy. optional front is 130/90-16 Narrower and slightly shorter, much better low speed turning and quicker response in the twisties.
RobRiguez Posted May 29, 2015 #5 Posted May 29, 2015 Damn...150? I guess the one I'm looking at already has the 130 on it maybe. It didn't appear to be that bulky. The rear on the other hand looks down right skinny. Coming from a 120/front and a 240/rear, this is something I will have to get used to.
