If I read it right....he is looking for a source for the hose. I'm not that familiar with 1st Gens, but isn't there an automobile alternative? Or is it to start with a hose and have it bent in the right spots?

I found a site for a company that makes custom hoses....and of course now I can't find the bookmark! :bang head:

 

I'll keep looking...but suggest you do a search on the internet for custom hose manufacturing....hopefully you will find a company that does make a hose for your application.

There was someone here or on the Delphi forum that found a way to make his own preformed hoses for a First Gen. He would use a standard piec of like heater hose, for copper wire to go inside the hose to make it the shape he wanted, then put it in boiling water so the hose took the shape, remove the wire forms and the hose stayed in the shape.

 

I have also seen a coiled wire spring type device like a conduit bender that you put over a straight piece of hose and bend it in place on the car or bike and leave the spring coil tube on the hose to maintain the shape with out kinking the hose.

In making your own hose set-up, check to make sure that it runs in the same place as the OEM. The gas tank has a joint on the bottom which will nicely cut through a hose in short time. To fix this there is a protecting bracket on the joint. It's only a couple of inches long so the hose has a specific area in which to transit to the far side. The protector can be moved, but make sure that it is firmly reattached.

There is a Dodge hose that is a very close match to it. I know someone had posted some cross over numbers but i believe the V6 in my sons Caravan has this short curled hose.

Anyone else recall this.

If you cannot locate the correct Yamaha part, I suggest that you use a silicone hose with the correct inside diameter. http://www.ebay.com/bhp/silicone-hose

My venture is very customized, so standard hoses would not fit - every hose was replaced with a silicone one. Silicone hoses seem to resist kinking (collapsing when bent) quite well.

Vile tube. At the back cylinder the union of 18 mm, and ahead the union of 20 mm. It was necessary to do separately behind a knee on 18, and a direct pipe to take 20 mm, and to connect through an alyuminivy tube on 18. Rescued that rubber was soft, and 20 mm were quite dragged away on a pipe 18.
