hipshot Posted March 31, 2008 #1 Posted March 31, 2008 just curious. how many of you "old warriors", carry one of these on your keychain? not good for anything, anymore, with ALL cans being "pull top's.
autopilot Posted March 31, 2008 #2 Posted March 31, 2008 I still have one, but I don't carry it on my keyring because it keeps poking holes in my pocket (catches on the inner pocket material and pulls till the pocket's toast). It's always good for a can of tuna or soup or beanie-weenies or a can of coffee. OR if you're STILL trying to get through all the extra rations you got for Y2K, it's great!!! :rotf::rotf:
buddy Posted March 31, 2008 #3 Posted March 31, 2008 WOW JT, I thought those went out with the civil war...
lonestarmedic Posted March 31, 2008 #4 Posted March 31, 2008 Hangs on the keyring with my dogtag - the one with a kicknotch! Always good for something. Maybe if that foil pouch on the MRE gets kinda tough!! JB
eagleeye Posted March 31, 2008 #5 Posted March 31, 2008 I have mine in my tool chest. GREAT TOOL! Steve

Missionary Rider Posted March 31, 2008 #7 Posted March 31, 2008 Who you callin an old warrior? Just because we still carry a p38! Simple tools work the best.
Midnight Rider Posted March 31, 2008 #8 Posted March 31, 2008 Who you callin an old warrior? Just because we still carry a p38! Simple tools work the best. When I was in the Marines we called them John Waynes.........
buddy Posted March 31, 2008 #9 Posted March 31, 2008 Yep my dad still has his, remember him calling it #@$^#$#$^%&*#when I was a kid. then he would ask me to work it ,Then I ran after I asked him where the remote for it was....
kantornado Posted March 31, 2008 #10 Posted March 31, 2008 I still have my (JOHN WAYNE) but I quite carrying it in my pocket for all the reasons above. Its with my dog tags in my dresser. Just can't seem to get rid of it. Got it in boot camp and never let it go. OHH I have had others but the first one I just couldn't throw out......................Ron
ArcsSparks Posted March 31, 2008 #11 Posted March 31, 2008 Still have the one I carried in Vietnam 37 years ago
Condor Posted March 31, 2008 #12 Posted March 31, 2008 Did you know that I had to use one of those during Easter dinner to open a few bottles of Martelli's Sparkling Cider..... I wanted to go out and use the bumper of the truck, but got a dirty look from the wife.....
Pilot Posted March 31, 2008 #13 Posted March 31, 2008 I still carry mine in my wallet, I always licked those wallets with the key holders in the bill fold area. I haven't used it in many, many years but it's there just in case...You never know when you will run across a c-rat can...
FozzyUSN Posted March 31, 2008 #14 Posted March 31, 2008 I have several of them actually. One on my car keys, truck keys, and motorcycle keys. They come in handy when you need a flat or phillips screwdriver and dont happen to have the 'right' tool at hand. I'll never get rid of mine.
Guest Popeye Posted March 31, 2008 #15 Posted March 31, 2008 I keep mine on my workbench in the garage & even use it at times. I could never keep it on a keyring in my jeans.....it snagged up half the time trying to get it out of my pocket.
BradT Posted April 1, 2008 #16 Posted April 1, 2008 Wow, never saw one of those before (I am sure I am not the only one. )and the Attachment does not open up ? Brad
