XV1100SE Posted July 13, 2015 Author #27 Posted July 13, 2015 Ben - what camp site do you have booked? Are you sharing with Phil and/or Dave?
saddlebum Posted July 13, 2015 #28 Posted July 13, 2015 In Marion or "Gas City" ?Sorry typo.... ....It should have read In Gas City near Marion. I have gone back and corrected it.
saddlebum Posted July 13, 2015 #29 Posted July 13, 2015 Ben - what camp site do you have booked? Are you sharing with Phil and/or Dave? I have campsite 4 booked and the plan before Dave's crash was to share it with Dave. However as you know Dave is a maybe at this point but since I initially booked the site with just me in mind I agreed to stick to my agreement with Dave just in case he suddenly was able to make it after all. At least this way if it came down to a last minute decision he would at least have a spot held for him making it one less thing for him to be concerned with since he has a lot on his plate right now.
Carbon_One Posted July 13, 2015 #30 Posted July 13, 2015 I'll hook up with anyone coming thru my area either Saturday or Sunday. I would prefer using the route going vie 23 in Michigan to 24 in Ohio to Fort Wayne then 69 to 70 by Indianapolis. BUT I'm willing to work with the group here. I'll go back and reread the posts here to see what ya all are suggesting. GaryN has a good suggestion on Michigan 12 too. Depending on which route the group decides on I could offer suggestions on where to meet on this side of the border. Larry
saddlebum Posted July 13, 2015 #31 Posted July 13, 2015 From Jayceesfolly :"I will be going thru Indianapolis on Sunday morning about 10 or 11:00 AM. I am staying at my daughters' home in Huber Heights, OH (Dayton, OH area on I-70) on Saturday night, about 1 1/2 hours east of Indianapolis. We should all be going thru Indy about the same time. Can we meet somewhere west of Indy and ride together? There is a Bob Evans restaurant at exit 66 (Quaker Blvd) of I-70 on the west side of Indy. It is about 85 miles from the Super 8 in Gas City and about 130 miles from my daughters' home. We could meet there for breakfast about 10:30 AM or so. It is 245 miles (about 4 hours) from Bob Evans to the campground. Also remember we gain an hour, for the time zone change, when we get west of Indy at the state line, so travel time is actually about three hours to the campground." Think that is a great idea ! I would be good with that as well.

Larry The Ontario group pretty much has decided on 69 from Sarnia right to Gas city, its a straight forward and clean run for us. If you are coming across 24 you could probably hook up with us in either Gas City or at Denny's by exit 66 off The I70 Sunday morning. Edited July 13, 2015 by saddlebum
