Been a good while since the Nigerian's discovered the pathway to the inbox in my personal email.. Oh well, the peace was fun while it lasted..

I was really intrigued by the obvious training and professional manner that this new breed of scammer displayed, matter of fact - I actually fell for this one!! I figured, what the heck, a guy is allowed to fall for the temptation of anticipated good times that this rascal promised at least once in my life.. If this one works out to be anything (never know) I will let everyone know and then, if one of you happen to get a letter like this (see below) you can join in on the fun if you choose to!!

Dear cowpuc,

Your access to the paid subscription "VentureRider Support" is about to expire.

Recurring subscriptions are not used. You will not be automatically billed for the renewal, if you wish to renew this subscription you must visit http://www.venturerider.org/forum/payments.php

If you do not extend your subscription, you will revert to "registered" user. At that time you will still be able to access and read the forum but will be unable to post messages, use the search feature, download attachments, etc.

All the best,

VentureRider.Org

And I suppose that you are now required to go and meet up with him this weekend too?

Gotta watch out though. These people have been know to kidnap people and then brainwash them into thinking that they are a real good friend. There are likely to be lots of other victims there in various stages of brain washing. Well some of the brains may be fairly unwashed......

Just be careful.......

The thing is,, I just knew I didnt wanna end up getting REVERTED (If you do not extend your subscription, you will revert to "registered").. That kinda scared me so I fell for the scam.. Had no idea exactly what it meant but I knew I wanted no part of it.. :178:

Something that the Nigerians have no thought of, and couldn't possibly know, is the actual act of reverting. It's not very well defined in the English dictionary,, if it can be found at all, but can be found in the Dutch\English version of what is called a dictionary. In my edition as well as maybe some others, revert indicates a swamping or wetting action. Not sure just how easy this is to accomplish, but to have a body of water close handy would definitely be of a bonus to those involved in reverting. As I dug into this somewhat deeper, it seems that the practise comes from late in the middle ages when it was more normally known as dunking. As you may also be aware, or on the other hand be totally oblivious of the fact, the upcoming events on the forthcoming weekend present at least one of the required components that are needed for a reverting action to take place, that being water. Whether or not then, this dunking of a revertee(another one of the components) will actually happen, will be a sight to be seen. Don't hold your breath though, only time will tell. As such it could be an interesting sight.
