farm1810 Posted May 26, 2015 #1 Posted May 26, 2015 The recent thread about LED passing lamps took me to the Larson lights website. They advertise a 7" LED headlight bulb for $155. Has anyone tried it? Below is the link. https://www.larsenlights.com/7-round-led-hi-lo-headlight
ragtop69gs Posted May 26, 2015 #2 Posted May 26, 2015 I saw that also and am curious about how well it works. Not exactly a straight swap, you'd need to basically gut the stock light can and rework it to fit the LED.
DarrinGT Posted May 26, 2015 #3 Posted May 26, 2015 I Love my Truck Lite LED Headlight and Passing Lights that we just installed this season, I really got to use them on Saturday as we got home at Midnight. Awesome Upgrade! http://www.amazon.com/Truck-Lite-27270C-Headlamp/dp/B007K8AA7I http://i1306.photobucket.com/albums/s564/Darrin-GT/20150507_114642_zps2tm8lplb.jpg
farm1810 Posted May 26, 2015 Author #4 Posted May 26, 2015 To what degree did you have to modify your headlight bucket? How about the passing light buckets?
DarrinGT Posted May 26, 2015 #5 Posted May 26, 2015 To what degree did you have to modify your headlight bucket? How about the passing light buckets? Zero modifications besides cutting and splicing in the wiring for the Passing lights. It was simply remove the old lights and replace them with the new ones.
ChrisM Posted May 26, 2015 #6 Posted May 26, 2015 Can you post the link to the passing light you got?

Bert2006 Posted May 27, 2015 #10 Posted May 27, 2015 http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?84450-Conversion-to-LED-Passing-Lamps http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?85189-CREE-LED-H4-Headlight-Installation These two links will bring you to two threads I posted that showed what I did. 2 years into it and I am very happy with the results.
gjm606 Posted June 2, 2015 #11 Posted June 2, 2015 I installed the LED Conversion Kit from Cycle Gear on the web. Split the fairing and not that difficult. Pleased with performance.
