Rear Speakers don't mute

My Rear Speakers don't mute when Headset/Speaker switch is on Headset. '04 RSV. Any ideas?

I've heard others mention that over the years but have never seen a solution. I think that they all pretty much do it. I don't even remember but I think that they get very quite but can still be heard a little.

Thanks for the quick reply. I discovered this while making headsets out of Logitech 880 computer headsets.

Not having much experience with the 05 yet...I can only guess. Most of my past experiences with headphones and speakers come down to dirty contacts....which is why sometimes the speakers don't cutout. Maybe the Ventures are designed to leave some tunes on the speakers??? I would think that would be counter productive to a small amplifier that's struggling to be heard at 75 mph.

 

I'm going with either a bad or dirty switch somewhere in the amp or a miss-adjusted/bad circuit if the switch is electronic. The latter would be my guess.
