Fuel pump issues

Hello, I am having fuel pump intermittent problems and when I tap on it, the fuel pump works again. I have read some threads about buying a Universal fuel pump switch kit 18-4615 on eBay. I have looked into this but the seller has a form that says it is not compatible with my 2007 Midnight Venture.

Does anyone know if I have the numbers wrong, or that it does work, but just not meant for the bike?

Any help or advice would be appreciated

There is also a kit available to replace the contacts in the fuel pump. The contacts are what usually wear out, especially if tapping on it gets it started again.

That is the points set that you want.

Search on this site with the search term "18-4615" and you will find plenty of information to confirm that is the correct part for the RSV pump.

Or replace it with a solid state job that wont give you any more problems.
