Headlight bulb

Ok...I've gone over both the tech manual and the owner's manual....and either I'm blind or Yamaha didn't bother to put down the type of bulb used...only says 55/60 watt 12 volt. Geeesh! H7 or H4 or 9006 or???

 

I'd like to buy a spare bulb....sigh.

Whoops...Bike Bandit had the parts breakdown....it's an H4.

H-4 As far as a halogen I like the Sylvania BP1210 I think it is. Its a 80/100w bulb. It says "off road" but I figure thats where Im lookin part of the time anyways. lol

I just bought these. I checked with my mechanic buddy and he said that he's been using these for years.

I thought you did not want blue???

My friend who has been using this bulb for years says it shows up a bright white, not yellow or blue

Have you installed one yet to see how white or blue it is?

The bulb itself has a blue tinge to it but the light output is white..
