ReinyRooster Posted May 7, 2015 #1 Posted May 7, 2015 Not sure of the correct terminology for the light.......installing an alarm system on the bike and, much like I had on the Wing, I want to also have the flashing small LED light to indicate that the alarm is there and on. Any suggestions as to the best place to mount that light? Any pics of you have something similar would be appreciated.
YamahaLarry Posted May 7, 2015 #2 Posted May 7, 2015 IMO, dead center top of the dash behind windshield, pointed up to the sky for all to see.
djh3 Posted May 7, 2015 #3 Posted May 7, 2015 Something like this comes to mind. Right on top of dash as mentioned.
Flyinfool Posted May 8, 2015 #4 Posted May 8, 2015 I would mount it high so that it can be seen from any direction. I would also measure the current draw of the installed system to get an idea of how much battery it will pull down. Our bike batteries are a lot smaller than a car battery.
Brake Pad Posted May 9, 2015 #5 Posted May 9, 2015 Down in New Jersey, safety rides, would have the yellow flasher beacon, on a raised poll, near the back saddle bags, about 2 feet over there heads
kevin-vic-b.c. Posted May 9, 2015 #6 Posted May 9, 2015 although the dash under the windscreen is a very good idea I would also ad the raised plastic area around the fuel cap would also do as a good spot IMO. I think it would show up well.
