Mad Dog Posted May 6, 2015 Share #1 Posted May 6, 2015 Ok... just looking for a quick source for the front pads for my '06 RSV. I'll go sintered, but are they really going to set me back $75 or so? Also, where to buy for fast shippipng? Thanks
slowrollwv Posted May 7, 2015 Share #2 Posted May 7, 2015 I usualy get most of my parts from Partshark.com. Have an order coming in from them now. Front brakes are one of the items I am getting. I will order another set and have them on hand.
Zzyzx Posted May 7, 2015 Share #3 Posted May 7, 2015 I switch to Volar Kevlar Pads and found they work great. Installed the rear only and have the fronts waiting until I need them. Got them of eBay at the link below. Free and very quick shipping. Real good price as well, $15.00 for a complete front and rear set. eBay item number: 371006225913 http://www.ebay.com/itm/1999-2007-Yamaha-XVZ1300-Royal-Star-1300-Venture-Kevlar-Front-Rear-Brake-Pads-/371006225913?hash=item5661b1bdf9&vxp=mtr
djh3 Posted May 7, 2015 Share #4 Posted May 7, 2015 I have replaced my rears, but I dont remember if I put sintered or not. I found out a long time ago pads are cheaper than replacing rotors. So softer pads that wear faster are not all bad.
