The loan on our Victory was originally due May 2016.

Being an oldster, I'd forgotten that I'd paid extra from time to time since we bought it in May 2013. Well, I hadn't completely forgotten ... just forgot how much.

Checked my loan balance last night and I only had 4 payments left and a balance of $2076 owing so I just paid the sukka out today!! :mo money::mo money:

Aside from our mortgage, we are now completely free of debt!!! What a great feeling!

Congrats. Thats a big deal no payments. We look @ new to us cars, but man I sure hate to have that $300-400 month hanging over my head. Especially not having a job at this time.

There's been many times in my life I've been out of work and had payments on this and that to deal with. Went bankrupt in 2003 and swore I'd never let that happen again. Been very fortunate since 2006 to be able to purchase 3 different bikes, a truck, a tent trailer, a boat, and pay off my ex. If all things remain as they are, our mortgage will be paid off in 2 years and we'll be able to retire with a few dollars extra. I learned from my mistakes the hard way ... just wish I'd learned this lesson 40 years ago!

hope you find work soon bro :thumbsup2:

Double check your retirement plans. Mine were great til I got notice from them that they were cutting my pension check by over 500 bucks. There went our play funds. Went from doing good to staying home a lot!!! I had plans for a new Spyder this year. I could do it but it would really make things tight and a oops would make things rough. New Spyder?? Used trike??? Don (B2Dad) I missed the chance didn't I??

Vot something that looks sort of promising on horizon. Have to drive an hour to work 1 way and is way short of what I use to get . But will help pay bills.

Good for you Silver, now get rid of the morgage!

Then what will you buy?

hahaha .... we'll be buying another tent trailer when we retire for our cross-Canada / USA trip. But that's no major expense needing financing.

Other than that, I don't think Nina will allow any more big purchases ... I've about worn out all my "forgivenesses" LOL

I can see the Warden has a better eye than you two!! She has been looking at New Spyders!!! With the hit our retirement took I'm not going to do that. 30k about either way you go. That's over a years pay now.
