OrlinEngh Posted June 3, 2015 Author #26 Posted June 3, 2015 Kevin I have a 17 mm hex head socket, Good to see that you can make it. Been awhile have a safe ride here.
skippermts Posted June 7, 2015 #28 Posted June 7, 2015 Stacy and I are going to try to make it over on Friday afternoon, but one of our friends is getting hitched on Saturday. We won't be staying the night but would like to get in a ride and meet some more people. I'll let you know when it gets closer.
OrlinEngh Posted June 13, 2015 Author #29 Posted June 13, 2015 Two weeks to go, sure will be good to see everyone that is coming, Have a safe ride here and think sunnyskies we have all of the rain we need here for awhile.
Bubber Posted June 13, 2015 #30 Posted June 13, 2015 I am still tentative. Bike stopped on me going to work one morning so it sits in the garage waiting for me to work on it. I may come anyway with out the bike and camp and see what trouble I can get into there. Bubber
Flyinfool Posted June 14, 2015 #31 Posted June 14, 2015 Bubber, I have faith in your ability to get into trouble with or without the bike.
OrlinEngh Posted June 14, 2015 Author #32 Posted June 14, 2015 This is a Maintenance Day put those bikes on a trailer and bring them with. I have heard others say what happens here at Maintenance Day stays here. So not to worries about getting into trouble.
videoarizona Posted June 14, 2015 #33 Posted June 14, 2015 Sigh, once again the meet is far, far away for this kid to ride. Guess My only consolation in missing these meets... is I get to ride in Winter.
Flyinfool Posted June 14, 2015 #34 Posted June 14, 2015 It is too bad this meet is in summer so that you can not ride here. Yes you can ride in winter, but we can ride in summer. It is far easier to dress for cold than it is to dress for hot.
OrlinEngh Posted June 19, 2015 Author #35 Posted June 19, 2015 We just got back from riding Fridays afternoons ride around 60 to 80 miles depending on how long of a ride we want to go on, Some nice ridge top and valley roads with nice views.
OrlinEngh Posted June 22, 2015 Author #36 Posted June 22, 2015 Got out and did the route for Saturdays ride and I think that everyone will enjoy the ride some great views and we are looking at around 70 miles. Looks like the weather is going to be good. So come on over and eat some good food get in some nice riding work on the bike and set and visit.
Karaboo Posted June 23, 2015 #37 Posted June 23, 2015 Will there be any members going to this event from the Eau Claire/Menomonie area on Friday morning? I plan to leave around 8:00 a.m. if everything works out. I will probably head to Black River Falls and then turn south. Let me know if there is anyone to ride along.
OrlinEngh Posted June 23, 2015 Author #38 Posted June 23, 2015 You could message IH Truck Guy aka Dan and see when they are coming down they are in your area, A1 Bummer aka Bill is bringing his Skewlie and trailering his bike he is in your area to not sure what time he is head down on Friday.
IH Truck Guy Posted June 25, 2015 #39 Posted June 25, 2015 Hey Orlin, made it home... Getting a few things done today and we will ride down with Karaboo friday morning...... Should be there by noon... And news flash,we got a new bigger tent so we won't have any problems getting the air mattress to fit this year...LMAO
Flyinfool Posted June 25, 2015 #40 Posted June 25, 2015 Oh but watching you wrestle with that air mattress and tent was SOOOO much fun......
icebrrg3rd Posted June 26, 2015 #41 Posted June 26, 2015 (edited) Late last night after I was finishing up a few things I took it for a test spin and smelt gas. Darn float musta been stuck, fuel was pouring out the vent tube. Got back home, pulled the plastic, banged on the carb, no more leaking. This morning, same thing. Dang it all. Plastic back off, bang on carb, this time I drained the carb 3 times and let it fill back up, whacking on it at all times. I also poured in a 1/2 can of Seafoam. Got to work without a leak, so I'm running around without the side plastic and a rubber mallot tucked in my seat backrest for on-the-fly repairs. Doing a rough guess using the odometer & gas gauge, I think I lost almost 3/4 of a gallon of gas. Thing is, I had the carbs out earlier this month, they were clean. Had to tighten the screw that held in one of the brass sleeves, dang thing was loose and causing poor gas mileage and rough running. So Jeff, are you going or still recovering? I want to be rolling before 6pm, if you are going want to meet up? -Andrew Edited June 26, 2015 by icebrrg3rd
Flyinfool Posted June 26, 2015 #42 Posted June 26, 2015 Unfortunately I will not be able to make it. The docs did a number on me and I am not able to drive that far yet.
icebrrg3rd Posted June 26, 2015 #43 Posted June 26, 2015 How will we ever start that bonfire without a rumball?!? Get better, you need your 4-banger pumping right, there will be other meets. I will do a fly-by of Orlin's place in your honor... -Andrew
Prairiehammer Posted June 26, 2015 #44 Posted June 26, 2015 I am out. Sorry for the late bail, Orlin. I had planned to head up there this afternoon, but Mother Nature forced a delay. As I am finishing packing up, intending to leave in the bright and early AM Saturday, my Mother called... There are some health issues with her that ordinarily my brother, who lives next door to her, would address, but he is out riding on the East Coast so I am the fall back guy. I have to stay at home this weekend and tend to her. I should have left when I had the chance, rain be damned. Maybe next year?
