Marcarl Posted May 4, 2015 #1 Posted May 4, 2015 Hi All. Just to get you all thinking about the last day of this month. That would be the 30th and of course the 29th because that is what this thread is all about. From past experience this is my thinking for this year: On the 29th, early in the morning, we gather at the Casablanca exit on QEW Niagara ready to leave at 9am. With any luck that should get us into the Oberlin area in time for supper and hopefully there will be some food left. My plan would be to cross the Rainbow bridge in the Falls, then take I90 from there, then 90 to Cleveland. A stop could be arranged at the Angola service center, another around Erie for lunch, then just short of Cleveland and then Elyria, check in and then go for supper. If we end up being late, we'll check in later. As per usual,,, comments will be allowed.

The scenery would be much better your way and I could avoid Detroit... Hmm, have to think about that. Not sure what exit is the Casablanca one, but I could anywhere on the QEW in less than 3 hours. I will give it more thought as it gets closer and if I think I can actually make it.

Yep,, you're right about that,,, Kitchener could go either way for the same timing almost, but you're shorter to join the Michigan bunch. Now you have to decide who you could tolerate more,,,,,,, ahhhh go south young man, can't be all that bad.

Marcarl Posted May 11, 2015 Author #15 Posted May 11, 2015 I think we should stick with Casablanca. We all know where that is, and if we haven't been there before, it's kind of hard to miss. Meeting at your place is also a wonderful idea, but I bet will take longer and longer the longer we stay there,,,, but it would be a nice place to meet, and free coffee for a Dutchman is pretty hard to pass up,, but Ben will have to shell it out this time. We do have a schedule to stick to, and if we start off late then progress tends to be slower for some reason.

Get on the QEW Niagara, after Centennial Parkway there is the Fruitland Road exit, then Fifty Road and then Casablanca, complete with fuel, Timmies and a whole eating mall of food,,, maybe even enough for you. Line-ups are generally well taken care of. Also enough parking for any parkers! It's view-able on the right as you exit the QEW,,, that was done for a reason!!
