Managed to sneak home from Norway last weekend to finish putting back together my friends bike that I have been rebuilding this winter. Been a long process but finally done. Well, Kristjan the owner is at least happy so I guess I did something right. Following was done and I am sure there are a lot of things I have forgotten.

1.Went through all the electrical wiring and upgraded as needed like Ignition bypass, horn harness and back brake light harness, soldered shady connections and so forth.

2. Changed bearings and seals in swing arm

3. Upgraded clutch with a stronger spring and full disk.

4. Shimmed the carb needles and synchronized the carbs.

5. Changed fluids - Forks, radiator, engine oil, rear drive - Brakes and clutch were good.

6. dded all kinds of Chrome Kristjan had bought in the US last year

7. Custom mods - Front fender rail w/lights, Moved driving lights forward, Custom Carb/cylinder gap covers w/lights, Connection box behind license plate, Rear brake, turn and park lights back.

8. Corbin seats w/carbon fiber look.

9. New Paint w/scratch resistant clear coat and stripes.

and the list goes on and on,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

When I saw the post I knew it would be gorgeous if you did it.

Wow, your friend is very lucky to have you do that for him. A lot on nice touches, the XVZ and striping and of course THAT SEAT!

Thank you all for your nice comments - that is inspiring to say the least.

Kristjan is a good man and a dear friend. I would do this for him again if needed.

Actually the hardest part was putting these dang stripes on. Had to do each one by hand and it was a tedious work since there are three of them in a row and all had to be placed separately. I was halfway into the second day before I was satisfied. Found a trick though how to have them the same on both sides of the bike / parts,,,,,,,but that is a secret,,,,,,,,,,,:hihi: :hihi: :hihi:

That's a beautiful Midnight. You might want to check my Midnight trike out--see my gallery. I just bought it last September. I plan on adding more chrome. Just took a 1200 mile trip, I love it.
