jwf Posted April 23, 2015 #1 Posted April 23, 2015 Looking at manual of 99 TSTD can't really tell which way to turn shock to lessen preload. Anyone know if it's clockwise or counter clockwise? Either way, seems like there isn't much of a difference.
eagleeye Posted April 24, 2015 #2 Posted April 24, 2015 You should be able to see if the spring is compressing or not. That will be your clue. If you have a calipers you would know for sure.
Mark J Posted June 2, 2015 #3 Posted June 2, 2015 I've got a 2000 RS Tour Classic, and to adjust the preload, clockwise will increase it. You have to get the weight off the rear suspension or it's almost impossible to turn.
