For those who run 6x9 flags.....?

Do you keep them on all the time or do you remove them when going long distances at highway speeds? I had my first ride of the year with them (2 of them) yesterday and man they were beating hard in the wind. Wondering if the vibration they would be causing could be damaging to the top bag. I have them mounted on the luggage rack on top of the top bag. (2006 RSV)

I run two 6x9 flags off of my top luggage rack all the time with no problems, just buy flags made for hi-way speeds.

I have only one flag. I run it all the time and it lasts about 5-7 years. I have put it on 2 different bikes and have not noticed any cracking of the plastic

I have over a dozen different flags that I rotate flying periodically. Still some I've yet to acquire. Mine is also on the luggage rack & actually doesn't flap as much as you'd think.
