So if I read that right Yamaha is the most reliable? Just about all the metrics beat out the Milwaukee bikes? OH my they must be thinking p some kind of explanation. I did read an article a couple weeks back about "american made" bike reliability and problems. Not even what you might call "reliability" To me that is something that is going to have me brokedown on the side of the road. But just issues with fit finish and minor stuff that dont work right. Radio, saddle bag lids etc. I can tell you HD was not at the top of the not many problem list here either.

Yeah I saw this on Yahoo. I wasnt surprised at all to see the Jap bikes at the top of the list for more reliable. The thing that surprises me is that most of the Jap bikes being sold are crotch rockets that spend their entire life being beaten. They must be pretty tough little bikes!

I met a friend of Yoopers last fall who showed us his Million Mile award from Harley Davidson. He started keeping track in 1978 and did this on 3 different HD's

To say he likes to ride is an understatement.

http://cyrilhuzeblog.com/wp-content/uploads/checkmarkch.jpgSatisfaction: 80% of Victory owners said they would definitely buy the same bike if they were to do it all over again. Harley Davidson owners were quite happy, with 72% responding likewise, trailed closely by Honda at 70%. All other brands were below 70%.

http://cyrilhuzeblog.com/wp-content/uploads/checkmarkch.jpgComfort: Consumer Reports found out that there is a very strong correlation between how comfortable a motorcycle is with the overall level of satisfaction with the brand. Among the 10 brands surveyed, only Victory earned the highest rating for comfort. Victory also beats out the other brands for overall satisfaction and got a top mark in almost every category. Ducati, Kawasaki, Suzuki, and Triumph each garnered our lowest mark for comfort
