@Carbon One, well,, is a riot or what? Is it like owning your own Cedar Point Roller Coaster? Have ya got that puppy broke in yet and ready to give all your buddies rides yet? If so, are you charging a fee for this fun?

I watched a report on Youtube about the mighty Slingshot that compared it to the super cars and they said that Slingshot owners are getting Rock Star like celebrity status welcomes every where they go - are you experiencing that and should I trim my beard up so I look like Tom Selleck for when I finally get a ride in that thing (or at least get to set in it)?

If Larry doesnt answer this, does it mean that he has painted his new bike BLACK, moved to Hollywood and will be starring in a new "Batman" movie? Has anyone over on the other side of the state heard from or seen our buddy? Someone has to know something!!!!!!!! :witch_brew:

My wife got to try one out yesterday. Her first thought was "Bat mobile".

HOW COOL IS THAT!!!! We havent even seen one yet - been waiting and waiting and waiting for Carbon One to get on here and brag that AWESOME looking machine up!!! Hey Gary, take a real close look at the picture you posted, is that a pair of RABBIT EARS :Bunny: I see sticking up by the drivers left shoulder (is that you driving?)? Maybe the Easter Bunny hitching a ride:clap2::dancefool::big-grin-emoticon:

Thanks for the :photographing::thumbsup:

Not me driving. And not the Easter Bunny but the fellow's pooch. Sharp cars and little dogs always attract the pretty ladies.

100_6348.jpg100_6349.jpg Sorry ole buddy Puc. Weather is going to have to co-operate a lot better before I get out your way. I've been out a few time just on local roads for shorter distance so far. The longest day ride was about 165-170 miles. In the meantime I've been busy here getting caught up on stuff at home since I haven't been on the road. Todays temps were pretty good but being with family I didn't get out, thou I let my son Eric take it out for a spin with his niece and nephew. First time ride for the kids and were loving it. :D The granddaughter is wanting lessons on driving the stick shift already. :biker: Might do that as she'll turn 21 this summer and is a great kid. Here's a couple pics I took when they got back from their ride. I think by their grins they liked it. LOL

I am TOTALLY in tune with those kids and those smiling faces brother:big-grin-emoticon::big-grin-emoticon::big-grin-emoticon::big-grin-emoticon:

THAT is GORGEOUS Larry!!

Give me a second here to put my eyeballs back in:256:,, I see your Miata in the background (at least I think I remember you saying you two own one?), plus I KNOW you came off a Trike.. Now I gotta ask,, comparing the handling between the Miata, Triked Motorcycle and the Shot:innocent-emoticon:

That Slingshot just screams roller coaster or go cart like handling.. Is that the case? Does it feel like it inspires challenging corners? Larry,, have you folks ever done the Dragon - bike and/or car? The Shot appears in the picture to set pretty close to the ground - like a high horse go cart - can ya feel it calling you into "G" force?

Also,,, being one rear drive wheel and over 150 horse,, do you find it challenging to run sharp corners in lower gears without breaking traction and feeling the rear end slip out :big-grin-emoticon::Laugh::Laugh::Laugh:

THAT IS GORGEOUS LARRY - CONGRATS!! :clap2::clap2:

Yep that Miata in the background is still ours. Joyce's ride to be more specific. LOL The comparisons between the Miata and the Slingshot are very close to each other as far as size and handling. The Miata is more all weather while the Sling is more as you mentioned as a adult sized go cart with plenty of power and open like the cycle's are. The Slingshot does have a computer traction control brain to keep that rear wheel from swapping ends. Even then you'll feel the back end busting loose. With 170 horses on tap you can break traction thru the first three gears if you want to. With 5" of ground clearance and the wide stance it hugs the road very very well.

All in all it's a wonderful machine but its really not fair to compare it to a cycle or even a trike for that matter as its more of a 2 seated roadster much like the Miata. I did love having the two RSV trikes, especially the 09 w/Hannigan conversion but there's just no comparing the ride comfort and extra safety of the Slingshot. For us that was a major selling point.
