Using an Iphone through the intercom system

Ok, I consider myself somewhat intelligent, but, can not seem to figure this out. When I try to talk on the Iphone (while parked) I can hear the other party just fine, but they can not hear me. Is there something I am missing? Shouldn't the mic work so I can talk? I have it connected via the AUX port and can play and music fine.

The AUX port is only for input....for playing music/sound from the phone. If you want to be able to use the mic function you'd need a "BuddyRich" cable.

I have my BuddyRich cable plugged into my Zumo GPS and can play mp3's, talk on the phone...

Some of the posts say that it can... but I cannot confirm. Someone else can comment
