helmet012001 Posted April 1, 2015 #1 Posted April 1, 2015 My father in laws 92 venture we think the ignition module went out? Checked pick up coil resistance, out put coils, plug and wires, (all the easier stuff we checked), no spark at all! He needs help. New ignition modules are $1100.00 new and $450 used. Anyone offer any tips or advise on this matter is greatly appreciated. Can they be rebuilt?
Freebird Posted April 2, 2015 #2 Posted April 2, 2015 Talk to member @dingy here. He may have something. He sells an aftermarket unit that works very well and many here have it. I'm just not 100% sure that it will work on the '92.
dingy Posted April 2, 2015 #3 Posted April 2, 2015 I can help you. 1992 is not a problem. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/photopost/showproduct.php?product=204&title=ingnitech-tci-2c-replacement-for-1st-genventures&cat=20 I have them on hand now. I don't always have them. To be fair, the stock 1990~1993's are not as failure prone as the 1983~1989's, but not unheard of. Gary
