After a long time of looking I have found out how air is getting into my rear/front brake lines, The bottom of my metering valve is rusted and blows a bubble out and sucks air in when I apply pressure. Can I still buy this part? and if not does someone have one to sell in the near future.

Thanks,

Ben

Sorry to ask stupid question, but is there supposed to a hole at the bottom of the valve? That's where the fluid is leaking from and bubbles when I put pressure on the pedal.

Here is a pic of the metering valve on my 1991. As you can see there is no visible hole if the rubber cap is in place. Perhaps your cap has been lost and that allowed road spray to rust the now exposed portion of the metering valve. As you can also see, the body of the metering valve is aluminum and will not rust. If the cap is missing the exposed steel spindle will rust and yes there is a hole in the bottom of that spindle, but obviously it should not be leaking.

MKI and MKII metering valves are interchangeable.

I searched on eBay and found several metering valves, albeit mostly attached to the brake line(s).

Here are several:
