Flyinfool Posted March 27, 2015 Share #1 Posted March 27, 2015 This might just be interesting to go watch. They will be doing one continuous pour of concrete for a building foundation. 50 trucks bringing 1000 loads of concrete to pour 10,000 cubic yards of concrete in 27 hours. Northwestern Mutual to pour foundation for 32-story office tower Who says that insurance companies don't have extra money.......
uncledj Posted March 27, 2015 Share #2 Posted March 27, 2015 27 hrs of watching them pour concrete.....now that's entertainment ! lol That's a lotta mud. Takes me back to my early 20s....A shovel, jackhammer, pneumatic drill and concrete vibrator were my weapons of choice. Glad I don't do that anymore....it's a young mans' game. MiCarl Posted March 27, 2015 Share #6 Posted March 27, 2015 I'd think that after 18-20 hours it'd start to get repetitive.....
Flyinfool Posted March 27, 2015 Author Share #7 Posted March 27, 2015 I would not want to sit and watch 27 hurs of hard work. but it might be fun to go check out. 10,000 yards will make for one big rock once it all sets up. I wonder how many yards of re bar (or Jimmy Hoffa's) will be buried in there.
