I have a 2011 RSTD and would like to get a little better brake performance especially from the front. The brakes are stock except for the addition of steel braided brake lines there is no problem with the mechanical s but I still find the brakes to be too weak for such a big heavy bike. Wondering if any one has any tips for improvement such as better pads or aftermarket parts? Thanks

Front - EBC FA179HH (Sintered).

Rear - EBC FA123 (Organic). If non-organic on the rear, too easy to lock them up.

I think a few have done the R1 brakes. I'm sure someone will chime in on that.

HH Pads on the front is about the only "upgrade" if you already have the braided lines.

Late 90's and early 2000's R1/R6, 02-05 RS Warrior, or 07-up Road Star 4-Pot Calipers are a bolt on swap but you'll need to change your lower brake lines.
