MiCarl Posted March 18, 2015 Share #1 Posted March 18, 2015 The site seems slower than it used to be, and at times it virtually stops. I think this started about the time the shoutbox was added. I wonder if it's a resource hog?

MiCarl Posted March 18, 2015 Author Share #5 Posted March 18, 2015 It only happens at VR.org and happens from work and home....... VentureRider.org used to be the fastest of the sites I accessed from either place. In fact, it was so good I switched my own server to the same outfit Don uses. Maybe my stuff is so good now I'm spoiled........

MiCarl Posted March 19, 2015 Author Share #7 Posted March 19, 2015 Just a few minutes ago (about 9:21 EDT) I got one of these: Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator, webmaster@venturerider.org and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error. More information about this error may be available in the server error log. Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. Been seeing that from time to time too. I was trying to access http://www.venturerider.org/forum/forum.php
ragtop69gs Posted March 19, 2015 Share #8 Posted March 19, 2015 I too get that error lately, and long waits for page loads. If I go to another site right away, it's fast, so there is something going on. I thought it was my ISP since no one else was complaining.
djh3 Posted March 19, 2015 Share #9 Posted March 19, 2015 I have noticed here the last couple days that when I get a notice of the quote thing, the link takes me to the home page. Not the thread.

Freebird Posted March 28, 2015 Share #14 Posted March 28, 2015 Just posted in the watering hole but just a quick note here. I made a fairly big change to the software this morning that I HOPE will resolve these issues.
MiCarl Posted March 30, 2015 Author Share #15 Posted March 30, 2015 I was at my mother's house this weekend. Accessed the site from my tablet Saturday evening and it seemed very fast. I thought "Crap! I've got a problem with my home and work computers". Then I saw your update. At home and work it seems as fast as it used to be. I think you found the problem. Prairiehammer Posted April 11, 2015 Share #16 Posted April 11, 2015 Just a few minutes ago (about 9:21 EDT) I got one of these: Been seeing that from time to time too. I was trying to access http://www.venturerider.org/forum/forum.php Yep me, too. Site has been intermittently slow to get on, to change forums or to even change threads. And today, I get this: Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. EDIT: It took a full thirty seconds to send this post, meanwhile the worm was chasing its tail.
