frodotoo Posted March 15, 2015 #1 Posted March 15, 2015 Has anyone used the HF motorcycle dolly? Or any other dolly to wheel their RSV around in their garage? Saw one on Facebook and then googled it. That one, Motomover was $499. HF has theirs on sale for $79. Any comments or reccomendations?
gorski Posted March 15, 2015 #2 Posted March 15, 2015 link for the HF dolly, looks like it would work, like some of the others that I've seen that cradle the tires and secure them. but HF seems to do the job
Stealthblade Posted March 15, 2015 #3 Posted March 15, 2015 I believe the HF dolly is too short for the RSV.
videoarizona Posted March 15, 2015 #4 Posted March 15, 2015 I believe the HF dolly is too short for the RSV. Sure looks to short.....
Flyinfool Posted March 16, 2015 #5 Posted March 16, 2015 The wheelbase of an RSV is 67.1 inches, this dolly is 83" long. It will be a tight fit.
aharbi Posted March 16, 2015 #6 Posted March 16, 2015 I use two of these. One for my V-Star the other for my 2004 RSV. The RSV fits fine, both end ramps/blocks flip in place. A couple of things to keep in mind, even with the end ramps down the dolly WILL slide on a smooth concrete. So block it somehow so it won't slide. Next the kick stand is longer than the side stand plate on the dolly. Mine reaches the very end where the caster wheels mount. It is not flat on the stand but rests on the edge flange that mounts the caster. It appears stable enough however it doesn't lean as far over, like you have a 2×4 under the kickstand. Sweep your garage floor where you want to move the dolly, the smallest itty bitty stone will stop any of the five double wheeled casters dead.
