Carb differences

I have a set on an 86 parts bike. The bike is a California emissions. The number 1 has an extra port that appears to be where the bowls are routed. The other 3 appear externally the same as non California carbs. Does anyone know if there are any internal differences, or should I be able to use the right bank?

That extra line is for the positve vent system. Simply cap it off to keep dust out. All new carberated bikes have it.
