Snaggletooth Posted March 12, 2015 #4 Posted March 12, 2015 Deka, Deka, Deka. Did I mention Deka? Performance for the money. Can't beat 'em.
wrenchrob Posted March 12, 2015 #5 Posted March 12, 2015 What is best bang for buck now for 21nd Gen? The 21nd Gen? Wow! That's looking into the future!
Yammer Dan Posted March 13, 2015 Author #6 Posted March 13, 2015 The 21nd Gen? Wow! That's looking into the future! Yeah that could take a while!!!
djh3 Posted March 13, 2015 #7 Posted March 13, 2015 Depends on how much you want to spend. In the regular battery price range, and AGM. The Deka gets good reviews. I got mine from Bohannon Battery. If you have the coin to go new age Cycle Gear has Lithium batteries. Pretty cool, a little more CCA if I remember right, and the box weighs almost as much as the battery. But they are pricey buggers. Yammer Dan Posted March 13, 2015 Author #8 Posted March 13, 2015 Warmed up a little and it cranked righ up?? It could have heard "Brown Sugar" in the corner talking about his parents......
Skid Posted March 14, 2015 #9 Posted March 14, 2015 Interstate. All I run in all my bikes and vehicles.
Wrench Posted March 14, 2015 #10 Posted March 14, 2015 I bought one last fall at Batteries Plus. It's an Xtreme Permaseal AGM 310cca, caught it on sale for $75. The battery I replaced was a Yuasa that was installed in 2011. The factory battery in my '04 Venture lasted 7 years, I replaced it just before I sold it in '11.

Yammer Dan Posted March 14, 2015 Author #12 Posted March 14, 2015 It didn't want to crank for a while after that 0 temps we had but is doing fine now. Not sure I would trust it.
djh3 Posted March 15, 2015 #13 Posted March 15, 2015 My experience is batteries tend to show up bad in cold weather.I wonder if it was sos cold that the fluid in the battery was frozen. hmmm I dont like workin in cold temps neither sooo
