Snarley Bill Posted March 12, 2015 #1 Posted March 12, 2015 almost done with my winter project. i took my highly modified ruckus for a test ride yesterday, and it runs great. it will haul my fat butt 44 mph. i have a little more jetting and tuning to do when it warms up a little more. i'm looking for about 47 mph gps confirmed. not bad for a 3 cubic inch, 49cc motor, and 100 mpg. this is what you do when your a retired old fart. the last big modification i'm working on may put it over 50 mph. a diet. i need to lose 50 lbs.. got to get ready for bonneville.
Flyinfool Posted March 12, 2015 #2 Posted March 12, 2015 I think that that last modification may be the very best one. It will get you more top speed and likely better gas mileage at the same time. It is also the hardest to do, I wish you the best of luck in accomplishing it.
Peder_y2k Posted March 12, 2015 #4 Posted March 12, 2015 To lose weight you could train one of your grandkids to ride it and then chase them on foot. Pete, in Tacoma WA USA
