Audio Problem

I have a 2005 Electraglide Classic. I turn on the radio and turn the volume up it it plays fines but when I turn the volume down to about half volume the radio stops playing. It does the same to the CD player, Mp3player,etc. if I turn the volume back up it starts to play again. Any suggestions?

I'm not familiar with the radio on the 2005. Does it have knobs or push buttons to increase the volume? It sounds like a bad connection or a dirty volume know but I doubt that it has a resistor type volume knob so I would go with connection somewhere.

It is like a toggle switch control. Push up to increase and down to decrease the volume.

Do Classics have the audio controls on the bars, or just the Ultras & Street Glide? Does it only do it from the hand controls or also from the faceplate controls?
