Well I got my beautiful 88 at the end of the last season so I did not have time to wrench on her much. I limped around knowing she could run much stronger then she was. I have an 84 in the shed.( I will be selling this spring sometime if anyone needs parts) My 84 could pull the front end up if I was not careful, I have owned it for about 15 years so I know what these old girls can do. I had some time today, so I dug out my Sync Pro I got for Christmas. Hooked it up and wow the thing was way out of line. It also had the Mod that hooks the vac lines together (I don't remember what that's called). Well what I discovered was number 2 was so out of line it probably could have sucked a golf ball through a garden hose. With the mod, the #1 and #2 vac lines were hooked together with the line that goes to the computer. It was pulling so hard it fowled out the plug in cylinder 1. So I replaced the plug ( replaced all them back in Oct.) and synced up the carbs and WOW that's what I remember.

It is even more amazing when someone is new to these bikes and is running around on 3 cylinders thinking this is pretty nice. Then they get that 4th cylinder to kick in and the smile nearly rips their head in half.....

Many years ago I had a friend that bought one of the two stroke 750 Kawasaki's. He kept talking about how fast the bike was. I ran into him later and asked how his Kaw was doing and he said I got rid of it.

After riding it awhile, he decided to do a plug change and realized he had been running on two cylinders. After tuning it up, it scared the crap out of him and he decided that he better let someone else have it.
