Chaharly Posted March 4, 2015 #1 Posted March 4, 2015 Went to a place called still smokin' in Gretna, NE. Its a hole in the wall BBQ joint that had a half rack of ribs 2 sides and a drink for 12.99. I have NEVER eaten ribs that have fallen off the bone like that! I literally was peeling the meat off with my french fries. Home made sauces and everything. If you ever find yourself in omaha/counsel bluffs. DEFINITELY GO THERE!!! It is now my new favorite restaurant!!!! We also went to the World of Wheels! What a show!!!!!

Condor Posted March 4, 2015 #3 Posted March 4, 2015 Luckily I don't have to travel to Nebraska to find great BBQ. I ordered the half rack at our favorite watering hole, and when I went to pick up a rib the meat stayed on the plate. Saint Louis Style. The first time we ate there the skirts were left on and it was like getting a whole rack. Texas Style. It's like a box of BBQ... You never know what you're going to get??...... But always awesome.... Starting to drool now.

Hummingbird Posted March 4, 2015 #5 Posted March 4, 2015 I have a restaurant/bar (FireHouse Restaurant) right next door to me that has wings on Tuesday for 50 cents and on Thursday they have a full rack of ribs for $11.99 No sides, no drinks but wife and I go over (walk) and get a slab, a couple beers and maybe some french fries and get out for about $20. Nice thing about having it so close, I can crawl home if I decide to stay longer

midnightventure Posted March 4, 2015 #10 Posted March 4, 2015 This could lead to some arguments as bad as politics, religion, tires and oil. Since he lives in NE I thought he might have made a trip to Kansas City.

Yammer Dan Posted March 5, 2015 #12 Posted March 5, 2015 We ate ribs somewhere last summer?? Skid?? Can't remember. They were good but not great ones. Haven't had any Really good ones for a while unless I EAT AT HOME!!! The Warden does like to cook!!
aharbi Posted March 7, 2015 #13 Posted March 7, 2015 Due to the drought here in Texas the price of beef has gone up at least $5 more per pound. Eating BBQ has become an expensive meal.
Wrench Posted March 7, 2015 #14 Posted March 7, 2015 I've found that the little mom & pop hole-in-the-walls have the best BBQ. I used to go turkey hunting every March in Alabama and hunting out BBQ shacks was as much fun as chasing turkeys.

KICKSHOT Posted March 7, 2015 #16 Posted March 7, 2015 I love BBQ! Was raised on it! It is as close to religion as you can get here in Texas! So I will just say AMEN brother! Meat slow cooked with just the right sauce is dang near Heaven! Or even with out sauce! It don't matter if it's done right! Kickshot Ride, eat, sip a little! Life don't get much better!
