Danaman Posted February 26, 2015 #1 Posted February 26, 2015 A friend of mine is trying to find a trunk lid gasket for his 1986 venture. Where is the best place to get one?
kevin-vic-b.c. Posted February 27, 2015 #2 Posted February 27, 2015 If a person found a rubber gasket supply company, we used to have a place called Goodall Rubber, they sold O-rings and such to industry. They also used to sell make your own O-ring material. You could buy 4 feet of material and a glue to put it together. Maybe such a place in Winterpeg? On that note I will be in the cold city in May to see my son receive his Masters Degree from U of M.

M61A1MECH Posted February 27, 2015 #4 Posted February 27, 2015 Do you have a photo that shows the profile? Many places like McMaster Carr stock various types and sizes ruber gasket materials. Here is a link to some possibilities. McMaster-Carr McMaster is very good about supplying samples be fore purchasing.
bigbob Posted February 28, 2015 #5 Posted February 28, 2015 How about the gasket in the lid of a 5 gallon plastic pail. It's a 1/4" soft rubber hose. Just an another idea. Bob

Snaggletooth Posted March 4, 2015 #7 Posted March 4, 2015 (edited) Check out the smaller sized windowscreen spline at the hardware store. Pete, in Tacoma WA USA Plus 1 on that. Went that route from Ace hardware about 4 years ago. Still holding up well and trunk stays dry. Edited March 5, 2015 by Snaggletooth
