Eck Posted February 25, 2015 Share #1 Posted February 25, 2015 Like most of us here, I too have been bored sitting around in the house due to the cold, snow, ice and just plain bad weather.. Yesterday, the wife placed something in the microwave and when she hit the start button, the microwave made a noise like I have never heard.. I'm in the living room not able to see her, but she says loud enough to me: Honey, I think the microwave quit working. I said Yea, I noticed it did sound right, just a minute.. She opens the door and then closes the door and hits the start button again, just as I was coming around the counter into the kitchen. Talk about a nasty smell....wow..I quickly opened the door to stop the mico and then opened the small cabinet door above it and quickly unplugged it.. You know that smell when you let the "smoke" out of the electronics... well it stunk.....I told her YEP, you done it now.. Glad it was you.. man you would do anything to get a new microwave wouldn't you (just picking on her).. Anyway, it couldn't happen at a better time I guess. I couldn't go riding..., so we both searched microwave's on the web, and picked out one, or should I say SHE picked one out, and NO, it couldn't be a white one like we had...it HAD to be a stainless steel one...you know, to match the fridge she says...... Anyway, We went out in the cold and rain to get it and I removed the old one and installed the new one.. Heck, it gave me something to do other than sitting in that recliner all day again.. Eck smirked as he walked away from the pretty lady who, unknown to him, had learned long ago how to navigate around her "we need new appliances" shy husband.. After they returned with the gorgeous new stainless steel Microwave and Eck had spent some time showing off his toolbox prowess by making sure she noticed that he knew exactly how to use a level, he proudly put away his installation equipment, walked over and sat back down to relax in his recliner again.. He didn't notice the shadow of his wife reaching down to unplug the power cord on the white dishwasher sitting across from the newly acquired Microwave. A smile came across her very intelligent countenance as she slid the end of the ice pic into the unplugged cord and mumbled something under her breath as she felt the sharp end of the ice pic mix the copper wires inside of the cords insulation like she had done on the Microwave her husband had just removed. With it only being a microwave, and not bike related, I didn't think I needed to post a picture, however next time I go out in the garage I will get my camera off my bike and I will snap a shot just for you buddy.. Come to think of it, I did see her with the range door open, and now I am beginning to think that the (white) range is in that same equation of hers... ........... I know what you mean Sailor.. It doesn't work for me though..I have been telling my wife that my white bushtec trailer does not go with my silver Goldwing for 3 years now... Go buy a can of black spray paint and paint 'em when she's out... then tell her you bought new black ones for her...
