bongobobny Posted February 10, 2015 #1 Posted February 10, 2015 Anybody have a good MP3 collection they are willing to share? I can mail you an SD card to load up...
Stealthblade Posted February 10, 2015 #2 Posted February 10, 2015 I can make you one with Pandora, if you'd like. I started a station there and the first song was "16 Candles" by The Crests. Second song was " All I have to do is dream" by the Everly Brothers Third song was "At the Hop" by Flash Cadillac and The Continental Kids Lemme know Bob
GAWildKat Posted February 10, 2015 #4 Posted February 10, 2015 Depends on what music you like. I have a bit of everything, but can locate specifics if you wish
GAWildKat Posted February 10, 2015 #5 Posted February 10, 2015 I have about 20gigs of music on my laptop
slowrollwv Posted February 11, 2015 #6 Posted February 11, 2015 Bob try FrostWire.com and you can download all the music you want and it is free.
Daveand Barbie Posted February 11, 2015 #7 Posted February 11, 2015 I will have to check "the library" but I believe the 100 Top Hits from the 50's is on it. I will report back.....
bongobobny Posted February 11, 2015 Author #9 Posted February 11, 2015 I/we are looking specifically for early 50's Rock and Roll...

djh3 Posted February 11, 2015 #12 Posted February 11, 2015 Just fire up pandora, and put in the search something like 50's and see what pops up and try it our. I can tell you I have a few stations saved like Stevie Ray Vaughn. I have listened to it for like 10 hours and not heard a repeat.
Barrycuda Posted February 11, 2015 #15 Posted February 11, 2015 I would stay away from frost wire because it has attachments that stay on your computer in the background. People have been sending you PM. If you have what you need, sweet. If not, hit me up. As a former musician and listening to those songs from my mom as a kid, I have a rather extensive collection of music, over 5 TB full. From Tibetan wind chimes to death metal. I'm sure there are some 50's rock I can find for ya. Keep me posted. B---
XV1100SE Posted February 12, 2015 #16 Posted February 12, 2015 Don (Freebird)...how about setting up music sharing on VR.org? Would love to browse thru 5 TB of music !
Sailor Posted February 12, 2015 #17 Posted February 12, 2015 I have lots of early 50' 60's rock and roll but they are all on vinyl. I bought them when they first came out. I even have Elvis and the Everlys on 78 if anyone remembers that.
mraf Posted February 12, 2015 #18 Posted February 12, 2015 Bob, don't know if you can copy or not but this site is sweet. Video Jukebox of songs from the 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s with over 4,500 selections#
Freebird Posted February 12, 2015 #19 Posted February 12, 2015 I don't think I want to set up music sharing for a couple of reasons. First of all, you get into royalty and copyright law problems. Secondly, the bandwidth use could end up killing us.

bongobobny Posted February 12, 2015 Author #21 Posted February 12, 2015 Thanks to all who have contributed! When the dust settles I should be able to come up with a good 4 hour 50's sock hop playlist for a project I'm working on. Sometime in the future I may try to compile a 60's/70's psychedelic underground playlist but it's really hard to find the obscure stuff...
videoarizona Posted February 12, 2015 #22 Posted February 12, 2015 You mean Iron Butterfly, Alan Parsons, Paul Winter type stuff?[/color]
bongobobny Posted February 12, 2015 Author #23 Posted February 12, 2015 Yup, and beyond! Things like Vanilla Fudge, White Witch, Moby Grape, Frigid Pink, The Great Peanut Butter Conspiracy, etc. as well as the more well known stuff such as Hendrix, Doors, Steppanwolf, etc...

Ok me and the kids used Frostwire after Limewire got the boot from the net..... I just browsed Frostwire and I did not see an artist I recognized... not that I am a great music buff of anything new.
