GAWildKat Posted January 30, 2015 #1 Posted January 30, 2015 I'm having surgery on Monday. Keep Mike in your prayers as I know he will be going nuts in the waiting area. I will try to get someone to post an update here and Facebook, but knowing Mike and the roomie, they might post on Facebook but forget to update here. lts been a long 8mons waiting to have surgery. Here's to being a healthier, more mobile me.[emoji106] Tis Better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all.

Flyinfool Posted January 30, 2015 #3 Posted January 30, 2015 Best of luck to you and Mike, AND be sure to follow all of the Drs instructions, not just the ones you like.
GAWildKat Posted January 30, 2015 Author #4 Posted January 30, 2015 But but I wanna eat a porterhouse postop, comeon now! Tis Better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all.
Flyinfool Posted January 30, 2015 #5 Posted January 30, 2015 Somehow I have a sneaking suspicion that food will be the last thing on your mind immediately post op......
rbig1 Posted January 30, 2015 #8 Posted January 30, 2015 hope all goes well for both of you. Time flew by didn't it. se ya on the light side. lol was that a good pun. was it you bet ya
GAWildKat Posted January 30, 2015 Author #9 Posted January 30, 2015 I've been told the same thing, but then I was starving when I woke from my gallbladder surgery. I know gastric bypass is way more involved. So I have no opinion either way. And I've actually done well on the all shakes portion of the diet, munched on jello when I didnt feel good. Tis Better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all.
Eck Posted January 30, 2015 #11 Posted January 30, 2015 Start counting backwards now.......(Best of luck that results are achieved)
Carbon_One Posted January 30, 2015 #14 Posted January 30, 2015 Kat you've got my prayers. Daughter in law had that operation last year. She's done great since then. Maybe a couple road bumps along the way but nothing serious.
cowpuc Posted January 30, 2015 #15 Posted January 30, 2015 Prayers Up from Tip and I Kat!! Hope all goes well young lady!! We will be thoughtfully watching for updates as you progress thru it all!! Puc
GAWildKat Posted January 30, 2015 Author #17 Posted January 30, 2015 Thank you everyone! I got the call this afternoon to report to the surgery center @7:45am, not the 5am report time I had hoped for, oh well. Mike, Trent, Trent's gf Amie, were like yay we get to sleep in til I explained how long later morning surgeries go. I may not be in my own room til 4-5pm, which makes for a very long day for everyone. Hopefully everything goes smoothly for everyone. Tis Better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all.
Yammer Dan Posted January 31, 2015 #19 Posted January 31, 2015 Good Luck. This diet crap sucks!!! I been watching everything I eat!! Very closely I don't want it to get away.
eagleeye Posted January 31, 2015 #20 Posted January 31, 2015 The best to you, and I hope your surgery goes well and a good recovery
friesman Posted January 31, 2015 #21 Posted January 31, 2015 Wishing you all the best and youll be in our thoughts on MOnday. My sister had the gastric bypass surgery 2 years ago and says its the best thing she has ever done. She lost and has kept off 150 lbs, and I am sure the surgery will be as good as you think it will be. Brian
