Freebird Posted January 30, 2015 #1 Posted January 30, 2015 I've installed a modification that changes some features of the private message system. One thing is that you will get a floating notification if you have unread PMs. It also does some other stuff and to be honest, I'm not even sure exactly what it all is yet. Supporting members do have some control over it. Click on Settings at the upper right corner of the forum and DBSuperPMs or something like that is where you'll find your options. This was a free modification. There is also a "PRO" version. The main thing added by the "PRO" version is the ability to add attachments to PMs. Is that something that you would find useful? Of course the "PRO" version is not free but it's not that expensive either so I am willing to do it if enough of you want it.
Ben Rollins Posted January 30, 2015 #2 Posted January 30, 2015 Can't wait for a message to see how this works
Ben Rollins Posted January 30, 2015 #4 Posted January 30, 2015 Seems the same as before to me, I will look into the settings
Freebird Posted January 30, 2015 Author #5 Posted January 30, 2015 I don't know. I haven't received one either.
eagleeye Posted January 30, 2015 #6 Posted January 30, 2015 I sent you one, and thought it would go away after I sent it, but it didn't so I sent it again. Oh well
SilvrT Posted January 30, 2015 #7 Posted January 30, 2015 Of course the "PRO" version is not free but it's not that expensive either so I am willing to do it if enough of you want it. I don't want it.
videoarizona Posted January 30, 2015 #8 Posted January 30, 2015 Don't think we need the ability to send attachments as we can always share pics and videos with links and the Gallery. Plus with private emails, we can share as well.... david
Angelo Posted January 30, 2015 #9 Posted January 30, 2015 Being able to send attachments could be kind of cool on some forums, but we're so open here with pictures and have a classified section which a lot of forums don't have, I don't know that it's that big of a deal here.
Flyinfool Posted January 30, 2015 #10 Posted January 30, 2015 Whenever I have needed to send someone an attachment we have always just exchanged email and went from there. While it would be nice to be able to send attachments, It is not worth spending money on. Unless of course you just won the lottery and forgot to tell us..........
Freebird Posted January 30, 2015 Author #11 Posted January 30, 2015 I just removed the entire thing. I THINK it was causing some other issues.
