Venturous Randy Posted January 29, 2015 #26 Posted January 29, 2015 Well, it's not like you've not been a bit busy on this site with plenty to do here lately. In all seriousness, It is time to sit back and clean some stuff off your plate and relax. I also want to say that I enjoy your routine presence and comments on here. It does help with the liveliness of the forum. Randy

Eddie Posted January 29, 2015 #28 Posted January 29, 2015 you could add a space here for Harley info. Good idea , I got some great topics to start with.
Freebird Posted January 29, 2015 Author #29 Posted January 29, 2015 Well then I found myself with an extra VBulletin license. They aren't cheap so I needed to do something with it. Last night I very quickly built a new forum. Nothing that would interest any of you but just a local forum for the Oberlin, OH community. It may do no better than the Touring Hogs site but we'll see. It is up and running but needs a lot of tweaks, especially from a styling standpoint. I'll get to it when I can. I may regret it anyway. I really don't know what to expect. Oberlin is a very liberal little college town and I'm...well....not. It very well may not last long even if it does take off.
Freebird Posted January 29, 2015 Author #31 Posted January 29, 2015 I guess I can post it. It's not done though. It is functional but a bit ugly. A lot of work to do on the style, logo, etc. Oberlin Ohio Community Forum - The Front Page
Freebird Posted January 29, 2015 Author #33 Posted January 29, 2015 Yep...it's on the market. We used it twice last year.
eagleeye Posted January 29, 2015 #34 Posted January 29, 2015 It looks very familiar and very good. I hope that this works out for you and the local community. Now to get the local people to find it.
Freebird Posted January 29, 2015 Author #35 Posted January 29, 2015 Getting it found is the hardest part. There isn't anything else like it for Oberlin so hopefully if I can get the word out, it will get some users. Time will tell. At least I don't have much invested in it. I had the software already so it only cost me about $18.00 to get it up and going. And some time of course.
bongobobny Posted January 29, 2015 #36 Posted January 29, 2015 Run an ad in your local pennysaver to get people interested...
