Chaharly Posted January 28, 2015 #1 Posted January 28, 2015 Spent all night tonight working on the brackets for the broken windshield tabs. Kind of had to fight it to get it back together. The verdict.... the windshield sets to high, there is a gap between the fairing and the windshield and also a gap between the chrome trim and the wind shield. I really dont care if the corners of my shield jiggle so I'm probably just gonna take the brackets off. Easiest way to do it.
Eck Posted January 28, 2015 #2 Posted January 28, 2015 Well bud, if I was closer I would help you fix it. I fixed mine using perforated strap used for hanging pipe. it worked like a charm..no gaps when finished. I had to place a piece in the vise and twist it to make it work. The perforated holes lined right up after cutting it to the length I needed. No need to drill/open the holes either. Did same for both sides and never ever had another issue with it.

Can you add some info to this. My new-used bike came to me with the windshield stay end tabs broken and it has been bugging me. Mike

I don't remember any tabs on windshield broken??? Are you talking about the tabs on the bike?
