etcswjoe Posted April 24, 2012 #1951 Posted April 24, 2012 PS, If I can think up the next target while at work today, I should have that windmill afterwards. Next target is; you, your bike and a windmill. Can be a real one, fake one, fancy mailbox, etc..by DanOh Hurry up I am riding 2000 miles in the next 7 days so I need something to look for,
KarlS Posted April 24, 2012 #1952 Posted April 24, 2012 Sorry to hear you had to give your bike up, however the target says you , your bike and whatever but it does not say what kind of bike Ha Ha, The day before I sold the VR I sold a Vintage 1984 Raleigh Team USA 12 speed 555SL super tall that I had been holding onto. I couldn't ride it anymore after my first back surgery.
Scooter Bob Posted April 24, 2012 #1953 Posted April 24, 2012 Better Late than Never... This was my plan 9 days ago, before my factory original battery decided to puke after less than 91,000 miles.
Scooter Bob Posted April 24, 2012 #1954 Posted April 24, 2012 (edited) While I was in the Hollander town of Waupun...Also known as Prison City here in WI... I snagged this pic of the biggest windmill in the city... For your next target... A pic of you and your bike and and OIL WELL PUMP JACK. Working or not, or a display of one. Happy Hunting, Scooter Bob Edited April 24, 2012 by Scooter Bob
Scooter Bob Posted April 24, 2012 #1955 Posted April 24, 2012 For your next target... A pic of you and your bike and and OIL WELL PUMP JACK. Working or not, or a display of one. Something like this...
Scooter Bob Posted April 28, 2012 #1956 Posted April 28, 2012 What, no takers yet? For your next target... A pic of you and your bike and and OIL WELL PUMP JACK. Working or not, or a display of one. Etcswjoe should have seen some on the way to MO, Playboy and Karen ought to see some on the way home from SC, Twigg's probably got one in his back yard. DynoDon, there are some 20 miles east of ST Looey in the fields.
dynodon Posted April 28, 2012 #1957 Posted April 28, 2012 (edited) Bob, they are all over around Centralia IL where my wife is from, we just don't have a trip planned to go there soon. Will keep eyes open though! Edited April 29, 2012 by dynodon
etcswjoe Posted April 28, 2012 #1958 Posted April 28, 2012 Saw a bunch of Natural Gas ones yesterday but they did not look anything like the ones you have pictured and I was in my sisters car.

Etcswjoe should have seen some on the way to MO, Playboy and Karen ought to see some on the way home from SC, Twigg's probably got one in his back yard. DynoDon, there are some 20 miles east of ST Looey in the fields. WE passed a couple dozen today but didn't know about it till we got home around 8:00 pm tonight. Only thing on my mind was getting home left Slidell LA this morning went over the Ponchatrain bridge to New Orleans around towards Houma up to Lafayette hit I-49 and hammered down home well over 500 miles today. Bob that engine was a Fairbanks Morse not running condition of course but probably wouldn't have paid it second thought if you hadn't showed me those others. We found all kinds of old targets on our trip lots of things a person will just drive by without any appreciation. Thanks to this game those small things can make a trip even more enjoyable especially when your getting tired or bored and one pops up. Will post some pics when we get some feeling back in our posterior.
reddevilmedic Posted April 29, 2012 #1960 Posted April 29, 2012 they are ALL AROUND me , but my bike is in pieces....
dynodon Posted April 29, 2012 #1961 Posted April 29, 2012 Reddevil, well....nothing says your bike has to be running, take a big piece of the bike in your cage and get the pic!
ragtop69gs Posted April 29, 2012 #1962 Posted April 29, 2012 Reddevil, well....nothing says your bike has to be running, take a big piece of the bike in your cage and get the pic! I was thinking the same thing but didn't want to
Scooter Bob Posted April 29, 2012 #1963 Posted April 29, 2012 Thanks to this game those small things can make a trip even more enjoyable especially when your getting tired or bored and one pops up. Yes, this game does keep us looking at and appreciating all the scenery, and always turns "just a ride" into something to remember. Will post some pics when we get some feeling back in our posterior. Looking forward to them. Glad you had a great trip and made it home safe. The current target is... A pic of you and your bike and and OIL WELL PUMP JACK. Working or not, or a display of one. by Scooter Bob
jointventure Posted April 29, 2012 #1964 Posted April 29, 2012 (edited) Hope this will do. If so, Your next target will be a picture of You and your bike with a State Trooper sitting on it. Edited April 30, 2012 by jointventure picture wouldn't show on post
Scooter Bob Posted April 29, 2012 #1965 Posted April 29, 2012 Hope this will do. I don't think it will do the way it is. Can you try again to upload the picture to this forum. Welcome to the game. Just an F.Y.I, staged targets like the one you have proposed often bring this game to a grinding halt. Not that it can't be done, but it may take some time unless someone that plays the game knows someone that fits the description.
etcswjoe Posted April 29, 2012 #1966 Posted April 29, 2012 My last leg of my trip is tomorrow and I would rather not see a State Trooper up close .

Just an F.Y.I, staged targets like the one you have proposed often bring this game to a grinding halt. Not that it can't be done, but it may take some time unless someone that plays the game knows someone that fits the description. Just updated the pic. hope it works now. As for changing the target, how about giving it a few days. I have been following this game from the beginning, some targets are harder than others. This target was the idea of a PA State Trooper that struck up a conversation with me while fueling up. He thanked us for not stealing the targets like most scavanger hunters. I know there are a few State LEO's on this forum, use your imagination. This may not be as do-able (pun intended) as the "Hooter's girls on your bike" target early on in this game, but give it a chance and if it takes too long, then I'll think of something else.
Scooter Bob Posted April 30, 2012 #1968 Posted April 30, 2012 He thanked us for not stealing the targets like most scavanger hunters. You mean you DIDN"T put that pump jack on the trunk rack? You're the big winner, Good Job. The current target is... a picture of You and your bike with a State Trooper sitting on it. by jointventure

etcswjoe Posted May 1, 2012 #1972 Posted May 1, 2012 I am surprised I never noticed it, I have passed there a hundred times.
Scooter Bob Posted May 2, 2012 #1973 Posted May 2, 2012 (edited) I'm surprised that it looks to be on an old looking foundation. Anything else around to give a clue at to what it was used for? Or did somebody put it on display there many years ago? Vincent, I'm going to put a post on the SmokStak forum to see if we can find out exactly what it is, and what it might have been used for. Here's a link to the thread I started over there, in case there any other old engine nuts on here... http://www.smokstak.com/forum/showthread.php?t=104299 The current target is... a picture of You and your bike with a State Trooper sitting on it. by jointventure Edited May 2, 2012 by Scooter Bob

playboy Posted May 2, 2012 #1975 Posted May 2, 2012 I looked for some information on it but there was none to be found you would think the town would have put a sign or something. It looked like it was on its original foundation.
